School transport on a Worksman

This week I started taking our son to school on our Worksman Cycletruck. I built a seat on the front where Owen gets strapped in, just as he would be in a car seat. I actually cut the straps out of a car seat I picked up. The seat was dirty, but the straps were fine.

The Worksman "Low Gravity" bike is purpose built to handle heavy loads on the front. With a 20 inch wheel on the front the center of gravity is lower to the ground and makes handling easier. Not to mention the smaller wheel is much stronger. It also has heavy duty rims, spokes and a double top tube for extra strength. It's a single speed with coaster brake now with makes for a lot of work. the bike weighs about 75 pounds _before_ we get on it, so it's a lot to pedal around once loaded for a day of running errands around the city.
